Geocaching is an exciting, family-friendly treasure hunt where you use GPS or a mobile app to search for hidden containers called caches, located in nature or urban settings. At this anniversary event, you’ll get to explore new places, solve fun challenges, and enjoy a great day together with fellow geocachers – perfect for beginners and experienced adventurers alike!

The event route follows a 1.5 km lighted trail, with fun tasks waiting at each station. With varying difficulty levels, the challenges are suitable for all ages. For wheelchair users, the same tasks are available at accessible locations.

You’re free to come and go as you like! Jakobstad’s popular Old Harbour area offers a wide range of activities for the whole family – including a dog park, playground, swimming beach, and disc golf course. You can also explore the town and search for hidden geocaches nearby.
