Walking the entire route takes 3–5 hours, but you can also choose shorter sections (2 km, 3,5 km, 5 km) and simply enjoy the forest’s calm. The path is well-maintained and usually doesn’t require boots – just an open mind for adventure.

Along the way, you’ll encounter old cottages, scenic hills, and cultural landmarks such as Sisbacka – once the heart of Purmo – and the Fagerbacka summer pasture area, where people once lived seasonally with their cottages and grazing livestock. Birds singing, bubbling brooks, and rapids that recall the days of sawmills and mills make the surroundings both lively and serene.

Along the way, there are rest areas where "Grillanställe" offers barbecue facilities, outdoor toilets, and a cabin where you can warm up or take shelter from the rain. You can start your hike from the church village or from Purmovägen 539 if you want to take a shorter hike and head to the nearby barbecue areas "Grillanställe" or "Solsidan".
