Pedersöre Museum
Pietarsaari
Pedersörenejdens Hembygdsmuseum is located in the old stone barn at Rosenlund, Trädgårdsgatan 6 in Jakobstad. The museum has collected artefacts from the old farming community, such as old horse-drawn agricultural machinery, as well as equipment and tools needed for living, including butter-making and clothes-making. The number of exhibits is approximately 3000. The oldest exhibit in the museum is an old hand-operated mill from the 17th century.
The building itself is a grey stone building from the second half of the 18th century. The year 1775 is carved into the gable of the building. The building is probably one of the oldest preserved stone barns in Finland.
