Welcome to MarmeladKompaniet ,the little JamShop in the old town of Jakobstad!

This 28m2 old cottage is an old
”churchcottage” who was in the end of 1800 century moved from Larsmo to Jakobstad for the reason that the people in Larsmo at that time did not had an own church ,therefor they came every saturday by boat to Jakobstad to stay overnight at this red little cottagehouse and then at sunday go to the church !

It has been a lot of artisans working in this house overtime, shoemakers,tailor,hairdressers and now it is an JamShop!

In the shop you can find the best go away gifts to bring home to your family,friends or collegues , but we dont blame you if you keep it for your self,its an artwork in itself.
You can find candy,tea ,coffe,spices and of course award winning jam and marmelades!

You can also find other local products and handpicked artisanproducts from Finland skandinavien and maybe from the world around!

Small groups are welcome to book a visit in the shop and if you want you can preorder a tasting plate with cheese crackers & jam !

The products of MarmeladKompaniet are made in small batches max 3kg / batch and always as far as possible according to the season and the supply of local fruits and berries, and of course we make sure to use forest berries as far as the supplier delivers (My husband). Cans are truly authentic crafts and require to guarantee a safe and high quality end product ! So the key words of this small micro-company are "good ingredients, real taste and nice shape with the little extra". The most popular marmalade is pear saffron walnut , which also won the silver medal in the SM in food crafts 2013 in Sweden.
