The Jakobstad-Pietarsaari Museum – The Malm house
Pietarsaari
Founded in 1904, the Jakobstad-Pietarsaari Museum offers several museum and places to visit. The Malm House, the museum's main exhibition facility, provides visitors with a glimpse into local history. The Malm House was built by shipowner and merchant Peter Malm between 1836 and 1838. The exhibits highlight the history of the Malm family and the town’s seafaring heritage. Visitors can experience period interiors from the late 19th century, along with ship portraits and models. Two rooms are dedicated to showcasing the history of the town.
